Hwarang by Knitboop

When I saw @knitboop post a call for test knitters for a cosy, lacy DK weight cardigan that was not only size inclusive, but just my style, I had to volunteer. The pictures below are screenshots from the original testing call that tempted me in.

Yarn

I'm raiding my stash and I have just the sweater quantity: a gorgeous merino base dyed by Hutch of Dye Candy fame as an exclusive for Yarn for the Soul a couple of years back. The colour way is called 'Chin Up' and I just fell in love with it the moment I saw it.

Yes - it's variegated. However, I think the subtle variegation and the speckles won't overpower the lace design.

Sizing

The pattern has 10 sizes, ranging from 30" to 66" bust. The lace also gives it a fair bit of stretch too and my merino is likely to grow as well.

The pattern is a seamed pattern and worked bottom up. Ultimately, I want the top to be the size 9 (62" bust) for around 2-4" positive ease. However, as is the norm with my knits, I'll need to start out bigger for the hips/waist and grade in to under the arms to accommodate my pear shape. As is also the norm, I'm 2 sizes different at my hips and to maintain the same amount of negative ease throughout, I'm going to have to create an 11th size for myself. It's going to involve a bit of maths and time, but that's a job for the weekend.

I'll update with more pics, swatch details and my maths very soon!
